US cancer battle teen returns home

A 13-year-old cancer patient and his mother have returned to their Minnesota home after fleeing court-ordered chemotherapy.

Colleen Hauser had said she wished to treat son Daniel's cancer with natural methods inspired by native Americans because of her religious beliefs.

Brown County sheriff Rich Hoffman said he had dropped an arrest warrant for Mrs Hauser, calling it a "good day" after the pair returned on a charter flight from an unnamed location.

He said: "It is a good day, as Daniel and Colleen Hauser have been safely returned to Minnesota."

"You know, I think they wanted to come back home. They wanted to get together with their family and they were ready to be home."
