Brigadier general Naser Arasteh, acting head of the Supreme Leader's military advisers underlined that no country is able to attack Iran.

In case of encroachment on Iran, the invaders will encounter fierce response, he was quoted by IRNA as saying on Sunday.

Describing living in peace as one of the fundamental policies of the Islamic republic of Iran, he reiterated that our doctrine is based on deterrence.

He said the enemies, in particular the US, would not hesitate to attack Iran, if assured
of their victory, adding that the present psychological campaign is an evidence for this claim.

Elsewhere he said from the experiences of the eight-year war and by upgrading our military build up, we have paved the way to reach the pinnacles of our military power.

Referring to the US incapabilities of controlling the war in Iraq as another reason for not attacking Iran, he said the present status quo in the Middle East has ruled out the possibilities of any aggression against Iran.
