Talking Big Brother Cameras going Nationwide BBC Britains first talking CCTV cameras are publicly berating bad behaviour and shaming offenders into acting more responsibly. Recent trials saw cameras in Middlesborough have been fitted with speakers and allow control room operators who spot any anti-social acts - from dropping litter to late night brawls - to send out a verbal warning. The success of the trial in Middlesborough means the scheme will today be rolled out in designated areas across the country.
