Fox News host Glenn Beck believes that his news network and right-wing talk radio are the only things preserving the American republic.

Beck also told Fox & Friends that members of the Obama administration want to shut down right-wing news sources and replace them with NPR.

Beck joined the hosts of Fox & Friends Tuesday to lament the media’s coverage of ACORN. The show featured a large board showing that Fox News has given substantially more coverage to the controversies surrounding ACORN than other news networks.

“If it wasn’t for Fox or talk radio we’d be done as a republic,” announced Beck. “There are people in the administration — two of the president’s czars — that want to shut down the voices of talk radio and Fox and make it all NPR.”
