Vicente Fox Statue Torn Down by Protestors Short
News Just before dawn in the city of Boca Del Rio, Veracruz, Mexico, city workers put up a statue of Vicente Fox, which was to be dedicated just a day later. By midmorning, a 100-person crowd started egging the statue, fastened a rope, and pulled it down. Many of the protesters were members of the Revolutionary Institutional Party which governed Mexico for most of the 20th century. Fox has come under fire recently with calls of corruption in his government.
Last week, Fox was interview by US networks and grilled about how he got
various perks while in office.
