Russian sect warn police to stay away Reuters
Members of a Russian doomsday cult who have barricaded themselves in a cave to await the end of the world have threatened to kill themselves if an attempt is made to storm the redoubt. Russian Orthodox priests have made contact with members of a doomsday sect, which has barricaded itself in a hillside dug-out in central Russia to await the end of the world. The group of 33, includes four children, the youngest of whom is just 18-months-old. The group is threatening to blow up the cave if police intervene. Helen Long reports.
