Poisoned former Russian security agent Alexander Litvinenko, who died in a London hospital last week, had visited Israel lately to hand over a dossier investigating Russian energy giant Yukos case, The Times reported on Monday quoting a former Yukos owner.

Litvinenko passed the dossier to Leonid Nevzlin — former second-in-command at Yukos who fled to Tel Aviv after Russia took over Yukos and sold it off. Nevzlin is wanted in Russia over charges of massive fraud and complicity in a contract murder.

The dossier containing evidence of the Russian government having dealings with Yukos, will be presented to London’s Metropolitan Police on Monday, the newspaper said.

“Alexander had information on crimes committed with the Russian government’s direct participation,” Nevzlin said. He also said that Litvinenko had documents discovering the most significant aspects of the Yukos case.

It is reported that Litvinenko uncovered evidence of what happened to those who opposed the forced break-up of Yukos, people who disappeared and died in mysterious circumstances, or such as its head Mikhail Khodorkovsky, have been jailed.
