US police are under fire again after an officer was filmed apparently kicking a suspect in the head.

Footage from a TV news helicopter shows the incident which happened after a dramatic high-speed car chase in Southern California.
The police pursuit began in the town of El Monte when a driver refused to pull over for a traffic violation.
The suspect's car then collided with another vehicle at which point he jumped out and started to run.
