Bush vows to defend Israel against any Iran attack President George W. Bush said Tuesday that the United States would defend Israel against any attack by Iran, following a summit with Israel's Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. Olmert said that US efforts to take action against Iran's nuclear programme at the UN Security Council were of "crucial importance" because Iran is a threat to the international community. ---------------------------------------------------
