Military Doctor Reveals Process of CCP's Organ Harvesting from Falun Gong Practitioners

Note: The following contains internal information on the Chinese Communist Party's organ harvesting from live Falun Gong practitioners using military means. The material is provided by an elderly military doctor from Shenyang who had previously spoken out on the CCP's organ harvesting.

Supplemental Information on the Organ Harvesting From Falun Gong Practitioners
At the end of last month, I had spoken about the treatment of Falun Gong [practitioners] in Shenyang and some other regions of China. Here I would like to disclose more information to facilitate the international community to help stop this kind of activity.

Currently, the greatest difficulty is gathering evidence of the organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners and other detained individuals. The lack of evidence prevents relevant overseas organizations from solving the problem.

On the issue of gathering evidence, I can disclose an outline of the government's process that I had encountered, in the hopes that relevant organizations can learn tips from it. Due to safety reasons, I still cannot disclose the entire process. Here I will describe parts of the process.<

1. Forced Means of Organ Harvesting
Overall, there are 2 types of transplant sources: voluntary and involuntary. However, according to the government, all of the organ donors are voluntary. What does that mean? It means that Falun Gong practitioners and other detainees are detained using their real names, but when it comes to organ transplants, fake names are used. In other words, a false identity is created. And, all of this fake person's information is available, and a voluntary transplant organ donation form is signed (of course the signature is fake). I have encountered over 60,000 of these documents with falsified signatures. All of them say that the individual voluntarily agrees to an organ transplant and will be responsible for all of the consequences. Some of the forms are even for heart transplants. Many signatures are the same person's handwriting.

These documents are kept for 18 months and must be destroyed at the end of the 18 months. The documents are kept at the provincial-level military regions. Reviewing these documents would require permission from the CCP Central officials based in the local areas. One thing worth noting is that during the entire process of an organ transplant, if the transplant is not successful, the documents on the organ source and the body must be destroyed within 72 hours. All of the documents and the body (sometimes even a live person) must be cremated and the cremation certified by military management personnel. These military personnel have the right to arrest, detain, or execute any doctors, police, paramilitary police, or research staff who leak the secret to the outside. The military personnel have clearance from the CCP Military Commission.

2. Organs Obtained from Live Bodies
Any person identified to be a source of an organ transplant is transferred from the prison, labor camp, detention center, or concentration camp. At this point, the person loses her name and is given a code, which corresponds to a false identity of a voluntary organ donor. The person is told that she will go through a physical examination. The exam is followed by local anesthesia, then organ harvest from the live body. Due to security reasons, details relating to the military management personnel is omitted.

3. Why such a Big Discrepancy between Publicly Announced Figures and Reality?
Many people pay a lot of attention to the transplant statistics announced by the government. Actually, "underground" organ transplants are many times that of the number publicized by the government. For example, if the government says that there are 30,000 cases a year, then the real number is about 110,000. There is an abundance of organ sources, and this is another reason why the prices for organ transplants have decreased. Many hospitals under the jurisdiction of the military, while reporting some transplants to the central government and the public, are actually conducting a large number of organ transplants in secret. The real number is much higher than government statistics. As I said before, in the eyes of these people [who are doing the operations], the people whose organs are being removed are no longer regarded as human, but animals. When doing it for the first or second time, some of them feel shaky and nervous. But after thousands of operations, everything is changed. They become numb about extracting organs from live people and cremating live people.

Everyone knows that China exports many products. But in China, there are also a large number of live people being exported. In other words, the Chinese people that meet certain physical criteria are exported overseas as products through a network. The organ transplants are done overseas, and the bodies of the transplant sources are also destroyed [note: In many countries, there are Chinese-operated agencies that handle the bodies after organ harvest from live people; many Chinese embassies and consulates are also involved].

China tops the world in exports related to live human bodies. For almost all of these people, there are falsified documents. I am not aware of the details. I know that more than 940 people were exported in 2005. There is actually a large global network of organ harvesting and transplants, and the transactions are centered in China. Since 2000, more than 85% of the world's live organ transplants have been done in China. This number is from a document within the Military Commission. A few people were promoted to generals for the "accomplishments" in this area.

4. Monitoring and Management System for Evidence
As I said before, the organ transplants are managed by the military. This system is far superior to the government agencies. Once something becomes classified information in the military, it is impossible to obtain any more information, as I'm sure everyone is aware of how the military system is operated. So we must shift some attention to many of the military facilities. Those are the true concentration camps.
