Orwellian REAL ID not tri-national (for now)

The defense supplemental spending bill has come out of conference committee and passed the U.S. House by a sweeping margin of 368-58. Included in the bill was the REAL ID Act, which requires states to manufacture drivers' licenses to standards set by the Department of Homeland Security and link all the senstivie identity data into a national system. The bill is expected to pass the Senate and be signed into law soon.

The final version of the text, however, did eliminate the provision that all states join something called the "Drivers' License Agreement" which is also lets states of Mexico and provinces of canada join. Therefore, the Orwellian national ID card will, for now at least, not be a tri-national ID card among the NAFTA nations.

REAL ID is on this bill as a result of legislative negotiations made during the 9/11 Commission's Intelligence Reform Bill.

One James Moyer is itching to get the revenge campaign into gear:
We must make it clear that Rep. Sensenbrenner is putting American's identities and lives at stake, by fomenting the introduction of RFID based passports (a result of his "leadership" as chair of the House Judiciary Committee.)

And finally, we must make it clear to people of faith in his district, that he is *most* responsible for paving the way toward the Mark of the Beast, as predicted in the book of Revelations, and that, like the Mark of the Beast, no American shall be able to "buy or sell" without one of Jim Sensenbrenner's "REAL IDs." There should be no doubt his work on the REAL ID Act is entirely unchristian.
