Secret REAL ID talks still ongoing
UPDATE: Negotiations are still ongoing, with REAL ID being crafted by only a handful of Capitol Hill staffers. Here are some more numbers and names to phone and fax to express your opposition to the tri-national ID cards throught the "Drivers License Agreement" (DLA) provision in REAL ID. Demand that Sec. 203 mandating linked databases and the DLA be dropped. Demand provision 202(c)1(C) requiring Social Security Number for driver's be struck. Demand Homeland Security have no authority to unilaterally require biometric identifiers on drivers' licenses.
