Abu Ghraib inmate speaks out An Iraqi tortured in the notorious Abu Ghraib prison has said US soldiers electrocuted him until he felt his "eyes popping out". Ali Shalal Qaissi was the hooded victim pictured in some of the most shocking images to emerge from the notorious jail. On the picture of him standing on a box with his outstretched arms gripping wires, he said: "They made me stand like that for hours and when my arms got tired they would electrocute me. "I felt my eyes popping out. Once I bit my tongue and and blood started coming out of my mouth." Mr Qaissi's deformed left hand is what makes him easily identifiable from the images. The original damage was from an earlier injury but he claims the wound became infected when a US soldier stamped on it. Before being arrested by troops, Mr Qaissi was the mayor of a town near Baghdad, he was released after six months of being held in the infamous jail. The Pentagon refused to comment but Mr Qaissi said he went from being a respected local figure to a victim of torture. Now he is working with human rights lawyers to sue two companies involved with Abu Ghraib. --------------------------------------------------- Get Alex Jones and Paul Joseph Watson's books, ALL Alex's documentary films, films by other authors, audio interviews and special reports.
