Israel Prepared for Iranian Nuke Attack Israel is prepared to repel nuclear strike from Iran, an unidentified "high-ranking" Israeli defense official told the Jerusalem Post on Friday, citing the country's Arrow 2 anti-ballistic missile system. "We will shoot all of [Iran's missiles] down," IDF official said. "The Arrow knows how to intercept the Shihab missile." As recently as last year, the Arrow system was not capable intercepting the Shihab. But the officer said that the Arrow has been improved, and it was now able to detect even a missile carrying a split warhead and armed with decoys meant to fool the anti-missile system. Asked about the danger of the Arrow taking out a non-conventional or nuclear missile over Israel, the officer said that the incoming missile would be destroyed at such a high altitude that it would disperse and destroy its payload without causing any casualties.Last tested in December, the Arrow was able to intercept an incoming rocket simulating an Iranian Shihab at an altitude higher than ever before tested in the previous 13 Arrow launches. The Arrow system is supplemented by U.S. Patriot missile batteries, which were used to take out Iraqi Scud missiles during the first Gulf War. --------------------------------------------------- Get Alex Jones and Paul Joseph Watson's books, ALL Alex's documentary films, films by other authors, audio interviews and special reports.
