| Thompson pullout gives Paul better chance The
Daily News Journal Murfreesboro, Tenn. To the editor, At first I was at a loss as to why Fred Thompson would pull out of the presidential race just 15 days before the Tennessee primary. After all we are his Favorite Son State. Last night it occurred to me that there had to be some brilliant strategy behind his decision. Fred was well aware that even with Tennessee he was not going to make it. By pulling out now and with Mike Huckabee's campaign running very low on money he was able to clear the field for Ron Paul, the only remaining true conservative with sufficient money available to carry on to the very end. As for Ron Paul and the war in Iraq, it will take at least a year and a half for a new president to be sworn in and to settle in. If this war hasn't brought about any positive results in a year and a half, it may be high time we get the heck out of there and let them settle their petty little family squabbles.
Thank you Fred you are truly a Patriot and a greatly admired American. Some late breaking news is that Ron Paul has received the endorsement of New Mexico Gov. Gary "Veto" Johnson, Donald L. Luskin, a prominent financial commentator on CNBC and chief investment officer for Trend Macrolytics LLC and pro-life activist Norma McCorvey, better known as 'Jane Roe' from the infamous Supreme Court decision, Roe v. Wade. Clarence Jaeger River Oaks Drive
