| Rudy gives shout-out to Ron Paulites George Bennett He may only have 6% in the Michigan Primary but CNN has been talking up Ron Paul who - as Wolf Blitzer put it - had more votes than Rudy Giuliani and Fred Thompson put together. And best of all, for the first time thus far, Ron Paul's name has appeared on the pie chart (Giuliani and Thompson did not). Paul supporters believe one of his biggest drawbacks has been lack of exposure outside the online community and a whole lot of yard signs. In the end, Paul still needs to be seen as "electable" and the mainstream press for the most part has treated him as the red-headed step child. There is no true frontrunner in the Republican party after Mitt Romney's huge win in the state Tuesday night. John McCain was a far second. Mike Huckabee an even further third with around 15% of the vote early on.
Jennifer Reynolds of Gambling911.com advised of the next big one day fundraiser to determine how far Paul can continue campaigning. "Ron Paul supporters will not be daunted. Despite less than exciting finishes in both Iowa and New Hampshire, the Ron Paul supporters march on. Once again another "money bomb" is being set in motion. This time it is planned for Martin Luther King Jr. day on January 21st. It will be doubtful that they can break another record and top the last record they set of just over six million dollars, but with this bunch, one never knows." Paul has vowed to continue straight through Super Tuesday.
