Exclusive new footage obtained by Sky News has raised more questions about policing at the G20 demonstrations in London.

The video appears to show an officer punching a protester as well as another hitting someone with a baton.

One activist is then elbowed in the face, although it appears the police officer may have struck him accidentally.

The footage was taken by a photographer from the top of the Royal Exchange, next to the Bank of England, after protesters below were kettled in by police.

He said the footage was viewed by the IPCC on Saturday, and the City of London police have asked to view the film.

It comes as the head of the police complaints watchdog appeared before MPs to face questions about policing of the demonstration.
