| Scalia Gives Evidence for New Nuremberg Trial National
Expositor Supreme Court Judge Antonin Scalia smugly claims his views on torture are correct. No sir, you are not correct. Watch the video below and decide for yourself. STAHL: If someone’s in custody, as in Abu Ghraib, and they are brutalized, by a law enforcement person — if you listen to the expression “cruel and unusual punishment,” doesn’t that apply? SCALIA: No. To the contrary. You think — Has anybody ever referred to torture as punishment? I don’t think so. Well Antonin, the Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines torture as - the infliction of intense pain to punish, coerce, or afford sadistic pleasure.
Dictionary.com defines torture as - the act of inflicting excruciating pain, as punishment or revenge, as a means of getting a confession or information, or for sheer cruelty. You see Antonin, torture has been referred to as punishment. The famous quote states "when words lose their meaning, the people lose their liberty." You state in this interview that torture must be defined. Well the word torture has had a definition for centuries. What you really mean is that the word torture must be redefined to suit your sadistic handlers ends. Now back to the interview. STAHL: Well I think if you’re in custody, and you have a policeman who’s taken you into custody– SCALIA: And you say he’s punishing you? What’s he punishing you for? … When he’s hurting you in order to get information from you, you wouldn’t say he’s punishing you. What is he punishing you for? What is he punishing you for? Is Scalia kidding? Here is the definition of Punishment - 1. the act of punishing. I believe number four qualifies as the correct description of torture as punishment. Not to mention the fact that a person under our Constitution has the right to remain silent. What is he being punished for? He's being punished for exercising his inalienable rights which are described in the fifth amendment "nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself." When will the blatant treason against the Constitution be enough for the people to wake up and throw these jackanapes out? I have one word for you Mr. Scalia - Nuremburg!
Oh yes and since Mr. Scalia didn't know the definition of punishment or torture we just want to make sure he also understands the definition of another big word we used in this article. Jackanapes - 1. an impertinent, presumptuous person.
