| The Realities of Media Control TBR News Note: TBRNEWS has recently received a thick file of documents from a corporate executive of a very major newspaper chain. The material is a veritable treasure trove of insider secrets that ought to be published in a book. We will publish some of the more important material here. It is requested that persons with a vested interest in ascertaining our sources please not write demanding the name and position of our source. The American public, insofar as the subjects interest them, generally believe that the American media, print and television, is a controlled entity. This is absolutely correct. However, it is not controlled by Jewish interests (Jews heavily influence the media but do not entirely control it) or what is called “The Government” (who, as a body, are too stupid and too poor to have any real policy control) but those who speak of “Corporate Control” have hit the nail squarely on the head. This does not mean that major corporations control the media in the sense that they own the presses or the television networks. What it means, and I have discovered this myself in over thirty years of media employment, is that the press is entirely controlled by major corporations, through advertising alone! Most major newspapers do very well with income from subscriptions but make six times more than this with revenue from advertisements! The ad agencies giveth and the ad agencies, at the behest of their clients, taketh away. Let me give you an actual example from my own recent experience. A well-known American drug manufacturing company recently discovered that one of their major products, a very popular and almost universally taken tranquillizer (selling millions of pills a month) causes liver cancer in 25% of those who take it! Several labs have independently come to this dismal conclusion. Now what? Do we publish this? Does the drug company come clean? Do pigs fly? No, unless this gets out on the Internet or by some other clandestine means, we do not publish it…at least not before anyone else. Why? The drug companies, who are immensely rich and very powerful politically in Washington, don’t care if half their customers die. They seldom run more than desultory tests on new drugs and rush to market them at the highest possible prices. If it costs a nickel a pill to make a certain drug, the fact that all diabetics have to have it or die, means that they can, and do, charge $5 apiece for it. This is called the marketplace. Now I am certain no one would believe that drug producers would ever lower their prices. If they discovered a drug that absolutely cured cancer, believe that it would cost cancer patients a hundred dollars a pop, even if it only cost a penny to make. But all of this is beside the point. If some irate and horrified lab worker stole a copy of this damaging report before the drug company involved could pay off the bosses at the lab to shut up (and this happens regularly) and gave it to us, would we publish it? Absolutely not! If we started the ball rolling, we would lose half of our ad revenue almost at once. Not only would the guilty firm cut us off but the ad agencies would put the black spot on us and we would lose a huge amount of ad money from other firms. Their argument, and I have heard all this many times before, is that if our papers “outed” this or that drug company, we could easily “out” a major car manufacturer whose SUV blew up without warning or flipped over when running over a squirrel! This is if we took the lead. Naturally, if these horror stories, which abound, believe me, are outed by someone else, no one objects if we then comment on them. The instigators are the ones who are cut off, economically, at the knees. No, it’s not the Jews or Freemasons, or the Skull and Bones Society of Yale than run things down at the city desk but the major corporations through their tremendous advertising revenue clout. |
